Sometimes, I amuse myself imagining the birds are crushing their rivals, “You cross-eyed, bow-legged buzzard. Step into my territory and I’ll break your legs.” If only humans could scold as sweetly as birds.

The book opens up with an elegant story of Male Nightingales who are the most famous songster bird species in Europe that scientists have investigated. Male Nightingales have a repertoire of more than 180 songs as whistle, buzz, and trill songs in their quiver. You will be amazed to know that nightingales warbles, whistles and sings to impress the females and find their mate. This singing also establishes their dominion over the area.

This book comprises of several similar interesting stories liked pregnant fathers of the animal kingdom, bird nannies, devoted dad frogs, ants which specializes in doing nothing, mother snakes who take their jobs lightly, voting in African wild dogs, and many more stories to fall in love with this book again and again.
